Write girl! Write!!

It seems like forever since my last post.. a significant reason is that having to study blogs as part of the research for my thesis has killed any excitement I might have had towards blogging! I mean, after reading random blogs all evening the last thing I wanna do is look at my own blog! So now I've decided to stop neglecting what was supposed to be a learning process for me - today I write!! I've been thinking about home a lot lately.. It seems like it's the only thing on my mind. What's ironic is that I know in my mind I've glorified the city that once bored me senseless! Despite all that, it's home.. n it's where my roots are.. it's where my heart is. Perth really has gotten a lil' better for me with the arrival of my best friend - it just sucks that he just arrived n' I leave in two months! It's been awesome though.. 'cos finally it's gone back to the way it was meant to be - just R and D! Yes, we've made new friends along the way that we truly cherish and I even have a boyfriend now - but just R and D is like the good old days! We have the best time when we're together.. whether it's clubbing or just chilling at home with a bottle of cheap whiskey!! Laughing ourselves giddy over the silliest things and dancing ourselves numb! Yeah, it definitely is good having him here... it's all the warmth I need in this cold sleepy city! Alright.. this is about all the indulgence I'm permitting myself... it's back to my thesis that is due in 4 weeks!! 4 WEEKS!!!!! *gasp* ok.. breathe... breathe.... be calm!!
